CHAPTER II. Japanese GARDEN
ABOUT JAPANESE GARDEN
This Japanese garden is located on the first floor of the backyard of the Hikari project. The entrance to the garden is through the main entrance of the building. The entrance area of the house is open, and the Japanese garden can be seen from the main street through the main hall.
The garden is an amazing composition created by a landscape architect. Each plant is placed in its specific location. The garden can be used any time of the year as a place for true relaxation and communion with nature. It would be wonderful to have a cup of coffee here in the shade of the trees!
The gardens of Hikari, much more than an embellishment resulting from a search for aesthetics, are a unique universe, a refuge in the midst of the "chaos" of the city.
It seems like all the plants from around the world are gathered here and even with such diversity, it doesn't seem strange but rather very harmonious
The passing time - Japanese maple
The transience of life - red flower of the camellia
Longevity - Juniperus
Unity of opposites, invariability - Ginkgo biloba
Immortality - Wisteria
Ephemeral beauty - sakura

The gardens are a symbolic representation of the world, the human soul, and the impermanence of nature
A path made of small pebbles "leads" us to a pergola made of dried bamboo, where we can sit in the shade of the Wisteria on a bench and listen to the birds singing. The sound of the fountain creates an incredible sense of seclusion with nature. The garden is located in the backyard of the building and away from the road, so no cars will disturb the enjoyment of this peaceful place.
Sketches
Every flower, plant and tree is in its rightful place here. This is precisely one of the reasons why I decided to take on such a challenging task and a complex project. It's all worth it for results like this
MAIN VIEW
The view from the hall is mesmerizing. It's a real Japanese garden in France! An incredible feeling of peace and tranquility reigns in this beautiful place
LOCATION
In Japanese culture there is no separation between the internal and external space. These two worlds are unified and interact with each other in harmony. Hikari adheres to the same principle. A Japanese garden opens its doors directly from the entrance hall, which creates a complete merger of nature and its penetration into the interior spaces
SKETCHES
Attention to detail is the hallmark of this project. Lighting garden it is also special. The garden lighting made by the talented JEAN-PHILIPPE WEIMER. His outdoor lighting fixtures are a real work of art.
